Ward 4C Chair Jean Brophy has a dream — that 7,000 RESIST signs will go up in front of Santa Fe homes, enough to generate television flyovers of the City Different.

If you have Fear of Missing Out, you’ll want to get your RESIST sign at a Neighborhood Open House Saturday, Feb. 7, 1-5 p.m. The gathering with refreshments and the solidarity of resisters will be at Friends Meeting house, 505 Camino de los Marquez. Yard signs, which include a durable metal stand, will be available for a $10 donation.

At least 400 signs have been distributed and gone as far south as Las Cruces, as far east as North Carolina and as far west as Washington (when visitors at No Kings Rallies saw them). Signs are already in high traffic areas like Don Gaspar and Galiesteo in Ward 4C.

Terri Rodriguez and Kelly Dawson came up with the idea and first went door to door on Don Diego to distribute yard signs. Additional ideas came from the organizer of the national Tesla Takedown. If you can’t make the event, you can get signs at 1420 Cerrillos Rd. during Tuesday and Thursday office hours.

WANTED: Person with a drone to take images of all the signs to encourage television coverage to show Santa Fe is solidly in the RESIST column. Contact Brophy: jeangbrophy@gmail.com.
