HOW TO VOTE

Make a plan to vote – what date, what polling location, your mode of transportation, and what to vote for by reviewing your sample ballot before voting.

Find your sample ballot at NMVote.org and look for the blue box, Find My Registration & Election Information, and follow the steps.

In-Person: Find polling locations, dates open, and times open at SantaFeVote for both Early Voting (Oct.6 –31) and Election Day (Nov. 3) voting.

Absentee Ballot (Mail-In): Voters may request to be on the SF County Permanent Absentee Ballot voter list. Once on the list, voters receive an Absentee Ballot without having to request one each election.

Ways to request an Absentee Ballot. Last day to apply for an Absentee Ballot is TBD. Please do this early!

  1. NMVote.org (Voter Information Portal). Find the blue box Request Absentee Ballot Online and follow the steps
  2. Call the SF County Clerk’s office  (505.986.6280) and request to be added to the permanent Absentee Ballot list
  3. For Overseas Voters – go to  NMVote.org. This takes you to the Voter Information portal. In the Register to Vote blue box, click on Federal Post Card Application (FPCA). Follow instructions.

Please fill out your Absentee Ballot as soon as you receive it and return it promptly. We suggest putting your Absentee Ballot in an SF County Clerk Election Drop Box rather than in a mailbox to ensure it is received by Nov. 3 at 7 pm at the Clerk’s office. If not received by then, your vote is not counted. Find Dropbox locations at SantaFeVote
